ABOUT  US

Adam and Chris started Formx Architects in 2016 while both working with London based architects. We started designing for a couple of friends in Bishop's Stortford who wanted to extend their homes. We had an extensive track record of designing and managing large commercial projects across a range of sectors, and we had recently completed our first residential development in Bishops Stortford. It felt the right time to make the transition to a smaller more personal client focussed practice.  

 

The shift from more commercial projects to working more directly with end-users is still one of the main motivations for doing what we do. We are passionate about the quality of the end product, the finished development, its very important to us to see the finished spaces lived-in and enjoyed, but the quality of relationships we have with our clients is more important.

 

Working directly with homeowners is a collaborative and rewarding process. Good architecture is as much about good clients as it is about good architects

Our diverse experience and multi-disciplinary training, covers furniture design and landscape architecture, through to sustainability procurement and interiors. This gives us a unique profile in architectural practices which enables us to bring a ‘whole house’  approach. ​
